Apply the mixture on the lengths and leave on maximum of 20 minutes, depending on the desired lightening result. Rinse and proceed with organic Shampoo. The bleaching action and the speed of action of the product can be influenced by the structure of the hair and by the presence of an artificial color on lengths and ends. Obviously, the best result will be obtained on natural hair.

HYDRATING AND ILLUMINATING PRE-COLOUR TREATMENT

To prepare the hair to receive a fashion or very light colour, for example copper and red shades or super bleaching, on a very dark base. Mix the bleaching fluid with the recommended Volume Color Activator. Apply the mixture to the hair, leave on for 20 minutes, remove the excess product and apply the desired Hydra-color® shade.

SOFTENING OF THE RE-GROWTH EFFECT

To quickly eliminate the contrast between the natural dark base and the lighter lengths, to lighten the contrast between the natural base and the streaks or to recover the barriers created by great regrowth. Mix the bleaching fluid with the recommended Volume Color Activator. Apply the mixture to the working area, leave in hair for 20 minutes, depending on the desired shade. Rinse and proceed with organic Shampoo.

POLISHING OF COLOURED HAIR AND/OR REMOVAL OF COLOR OVERLOAD

Proceed with covering the root regrowth, using the desired shade. Mix the bleaching fluid with the recommended Volume Color Activator. Apply the mixture on the lengths for 10-20 minutes. Rinse and proceed with organic Shampoo.

Good Colour Starts with Healthy Hair

Unhealthy, damaged hair will not hold colour well. You may make it from black hair to pink in a week by bleaching your hair twice a day but that pink won’t hold because your hair is in rough shape. Rinse Hair with Cool Water

This is actually my best tip. Warm water opens the hair cuticle allowing the colour to escape. I’m not saying you need to wash your hair with ice cold water, but in reality, the colder the better. Rinse your hair through with cold water before you get out of the shower to tame frizz and seal in the moisture. Rinsing your hair with cold water helps with closing your cuticle after your hair is washed.

Cold water also helps reduce bleeding if you have more than one color, otherwise your hair colour will just turn into a mess similar to when you mix different colors of paint together.

While we’re on the subject of water, it should be noted that swimming in chlorinated water is awful for your hair color. (But hey, if you want to fade your hair, go for it!) For good measures, just keep your hair dry as much as possible and avoid hot water!

Avoid Shampoos with Sulfates & choose SLS/SLES FREE

Sulfates (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate & Sodium Laureth Sulfate) and alcohol-based products are two huge things that will fade any hair colour. Sulfate free shampoos can be kind of tricky to find sometimes, but they’re definitely worth switching to. INSIGHT professional has a wide selection of hair shampoos & conditioners which are SLS/SLES FREE. Instead INSIGHT uses gentler cleansing agent, derived from coconut, using a more dermo-compatible cleansing product means protecting scalp health and balance over time.

When we see our favourite celebs go brunette to blonde in the blink of an eye it’s easy to get swept up in the idea of having lighter locks in a heart beat, but sometimes it’s not that easy. Let’s quickly talk about the top 4 things you should know before going blonde…

So, you’re thinking of going blonde? What shade of blonde? Light blonde, dark blonde, ash blonde, platinum, golden, silver, creamy, buttery, caramel, strawberry or balayage… it’s like a buffet! But with so many choices, dyeing your hair blonde isn’t quite as simple as it sounds. We share with you the top 4 things you need to know before picking up the peroxide.

When it comes to going blonde it usually involves dramatic highlighting to the hair as well an up-keep and maintenance schedule that is pretty demanding… we are talking weekly treatments and possibly monthly salon appointments.

SAY NO TO DIY

At home box dye kits are good for reviving dull hair or to go a shade or two lighter (or darker) but when it comes to changing the genetic colour of your hair, leave it to the experts.

The experts tell us what you should avoid if you want a clean and perfect hair for longer

We always ask ourselves: how does my hair get greasy so fast? Experts explain to us what the reasons could be and, fundamentally, how to avoid them.

You wash your hair too much

According to experts, it is important to know that: “The process of developing greasy hair depends on each person’s, type, scalp and many other factors. However, it is recommended to use high-quality natural products that will nourish and strengthen the hair (such as argan oil, proteins, avocado, and lemon). The vitamins and antioxidants that you will find in these ingredients will help restore the hair and prevent dryness.

In addition to avoiding excessive hair washing, it is a good alternative to use an organic product that solves the problem for many women: INSIGHT Rebalancing Sebum Control Shampoo. Using a suitable hair product for your hair type is always an excellent solution to prolong washing, either due to lack of time or other factors. You are not using the right Shampoo

We need Vitamin D from the sun for our overall health, including our hair, and while not absorbing as many UV rays has its benefits (less sun exposure will keep color fresh and rich), it can also dry out the hair. Dryness isn’t the only issue: Elevated body temperatures cause sebaceous glands to overproduce sebum, which results in oiler hair.

You wear hats too often

Prolonged use of hats builds up grease and dirt. Hair often gets greasy around the roots or becomes static and fly-away. This is because your scalp is stuck under your hat and can’t breathe, or because the hat’s material promotes static electricity build-up. Also, washing your hair in hot water dilates the pores and increases the production of sebaceous. Similarly, the frequent use of heat tools (dryers and irons) also, dries hair and removes its natural protection causing it to get greasy.

You use silicone-based products

Silicone in conditioners, shampoos, serums, leaves residue that build up in the hair leaving it damaged and heavier. To make things simple, silicone basically suffocates the hair and prevents any nutrients from penetrating the hair shaft. With time, our much-loved tresses will become dry and brittle, due to the lack of moisture which can lead to breakage, frizz and brittleness. You should always consider looking for silicone-free hair products to give your hair some tender loving care. Your hair will get in much better shape right away.
